Hi, I'm Ashleigh

I'm an integrative therapist specialising in anxiety, work-related stress, low self-esteem and burnout. 

I often work with people who are succeeding with their plans and goals but they struggle to relax and enjoy life. They are trying to balance work and home responsibilities but finding that either their personal or professional relationships are suffering. Often they are feeling emotionally and physically exhausted or struggling with anxiety.

How can therapy help? 

As an outsider, I will listen without an agenda and be that place to say all those things that aren’t productive or professional to voice in the workplace but can feel like a pressure cooker when kept silent. I will be the person to talk through mistakes and imposter syndrome without worrying it may impact how people view you at work. 

Sometimes work responsibilities become so consuming they are all you talk about with family. I will be the person to talk through work pressures and worries, anger or frustrations. Leaving your family time to be just that, family time. 

I can offer you a place where you will be really listened to and understood. I will ask questions to deepen your understanding of yourself and help you identify patterns in relationships and communications that have become unhelpful for you. In doing so I will be supporting you to build a positive relationship with yourself, more meaningful relationships with those you love and rewarding relationships at work.

Online Counselling

Working online allows for me to be available wherever you are. It offers flexibility to meet between your other commitments and from different locations if you travel for work. All that is required is a stable internet connection and a confidential place from where you can comfortably attend sessions. I offer online session using Zoom, Google Meet or FaceTime to be flexible across all devices. Telephone sessions are also available.

About Me

I am committed to helping people to change their lives, and supporting them to find purpose and fulfilment amongst the chaos of the modern world. Before training to become a counsellor I worked in the financial services industry. I know first hand the pressures and frustrations of climbing the ladder and how normal it is to feel self-doubt. Having a confidential place and someone neutral to talk with can help immeasurably in keeping that voice of self-doubt in balance.

I am an integrative counsellor which means I am adaptable to how you would like your therapy to work. I take aspects of the traditional talking therapies ​such as exploring how our past has shaped us and may be impacting what we do now and mix it with modern evidenced-based, solution-focused and trauma informed practices. This allows me to offer you an individual experience based on what it is you're bringing to therapy and what you want to take away with you.

Individual Counselling Session

Regular Counselling Sessions. Usually at the same time and day each week and are 50 minutes in length. Traditional talking therapy to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and events both past and present.

Counselling Consultancy Sessions

Counselling consultancy sessions are usually monthly but can be more often if required. They are 75 minutes in length. Together we will process and organise your thoughts and feelings around current events and issues at work or at home. 

Counselling Supervision

As an experienced integrative counsellor I am currently undertaking further training to develop my counselling supervision skills. I also provide BACP accreditation mentorship sessions. Please contact me for details.
